Environment Day- ‘Seed Ball Making’ programme
Little Flower Public School organised ‘Seed Ball Making’ programme on Monday, 24 June 2019 to promote the idea of a greener planet as a part of Environment Daycelebration.Officials from the Karnataka Forest Department explained how the preparation of a seed ball is important for the germination of a seed. The students enthusiastically took part in making the seed balls. Around one thousand students from Classes III to Class X prepared over two thousand seed balls. The seed balls were sun dried for 48 hours and were later scattered by the Scouts and Guidesof the school in the Turahalli forest. The programme was an important step in increasing the forest cover in and around the city of Bengaluru. The students gained practical experience in conserving the environment by growing trees.
